Aerospace Propulsion Products B.V. is specialized in gas generators that produce hot or cool gases. Amongst others APP produces the igniters for the Ariane 5 and the VEGA launchers. The technology of generating hot and cool gases based on solid state storage is not only ideal for space applications, but also for industrial applications or application in consumer products. For these markets APP can provide solutions for the rapid inflation of items (e.g. life rafts, emergency slides), the generation of breathable oxygen but also for the controlled distribution of dust explosion suppression powders within a hundredth of a second.
